Our approach to saying farewell at home
A peaceful goodbye at home can help pets stay settled, especially if they feel anxious around travel or unfamiliar places. It also gives families more space to be together, without the pressures of a waiting room or a busy practice. We take an unhurried approach, supporting you gently and moving at your pace, so you feel informed and reassured throughout.
Dignity and respect guides everything we do. We focus on careful support and an environment that feels calm for your pet and for you.
Meet Dr Marina Tazon
Gentle Paws Farewell was founded by Dr Marina Tazon, MRCVS BVetMed Hons. With over 14 years of veterinary experience supporting pets and their families, Marina brings both professional expertise and a personal understanding of how important a calm farewell can be.
Why Gentle Paws Farewell was created
As a vet and a pet owner, Marina understands how hard it can be when a goodbye feels stressful or rushed. After Marina experienced an out of hours visit where she could not say goodbye to her Golden Retriever in the way she wanted, we set out to offer families a gentler option: a calm home visit where pets are in a familiar environment during their final moment.
This experience shapes our service today. We believe every family should have the chance to say farewell with privacy, support and reassurance, with an experienced vet guiding you at every stage.
